Last week, there were Lost viewing parties (I hosted one of them) second only to Inaugural viewing parties! TV had a big week!
But let's talking about what you might have Lost, and found (or not)
I saw a story on CNN about a Phoenix woman who LOST her 7 karat diamond ring - dropping it in a toilet at a restaurant. The ring, valued at $78,000 was LOST! It may not surprise you that the restaurant told the woman that there was nothing they could do. WHAT???? The woman insisted on doing everything possible, and following 8 hours of plumbing magic (and a complete gutting of the rest room), the ring was recovered. Amazing!
Who needs a 7k diamond ring? Beyonce maybe? We hope the plumber got a nice bonus from the bling lady!
Radio 929’s Program Director Dana Marshall has a story that
goes along with the theme of lost:
Brings to mind losing my Dolce & Gabbana's eye glasses at a hip Boston restaurant last year. It was just minutes after walking out of the restaurant that I realized I'd left the beauties behind. It was my first time spending nearly $500 on a pair of glasses....but hey, they were good lookin'.
I approached the hostess, who in turn approached the waiter. No glasses. I asked them to check again as I knew they had to be there somewhere. I even started looking suspiciously at the people who were sitting at adjacent tables. Did they look guilty? Not sure.....hmmm.
I checked with all managers and called numerous times. I even returned to the restaurant a couple of times to see if a waiter might be looking particularly styling'? Nope. Dolce & Gabbana's...... LOST, and not Found. Freakin' bummer. Not as lucky as the bling lady!
All this talk of LOST items may seem frivolous and foolish. I have to say I am pretty jealous of the bling lady (for plenty of reasons!). Some honest, good Samaritan got her bling back. I, on the other hand, am now wearing non-bling glasses. Boring.
What's your LOST story?
