With the Boston forecast highs and lows for this week looking like a Sox score; everyone is looking for a way to stay warm. Some obvious things that come to mind? Roaring fire, car starters, hot chocolate with a shot of whatever! and there is always the choice of someone to sleep with! Everywhere you go, peope are saying 'brrr, it's cold'! Yep, It's January in New England - HELLO?
This past weekend we kicked off our Rock n’ Ride ski tour at Waterville Valley, and the wind chill was sub zero at one point - but that didn't deter a lot of people from layering up and heading to the lifts! A sign at one lift displayed the current temperature - 1 degree. In an effort to make everyone feel better, they added that it was 28 degrees in Florida! It didn't make anyone feel better.
Great skiing if you could withstand wind and temps. Solution? APRES SKI! with Radio 929 Rock and Ride winners - The Help. In the true spirit of 'the show must go on' - they made their gig despite flipping their car on the way up. Fortunately - no damage to guitar hands, instruments, or vehicles!
Which brings me to this pressing question re: staying warm. Have you ordered a SNUGGIE????????? The best way to describe th e latest infomercial craze is to say they look the hospital gown you wear; you know the one with no back side shielding. But for couch potatoes everywhere, it's a dream come true. You can read, eat, scratch, poke, etc, while donning this cozy and soft blanket/garment. Why didn't I think of that? Now instead of showing you the basic infomercial I thought this spoof is more fitting.....
Now hurry and order to stay warm this winter because I am sure they are flying off the shelves. I can picture you now looking like a cult leader from your couch... with a sweet book light I know you were dying for. How are you staying warm?
