Charlize Theron kissed a girl … & she liked it.

by Jason Rossi 26. October 2009 10:21

Every guy's Fantasy is to see two girls kissing (well not all guys but I dont want to write anythign on here that can get me in deep trouble) . Katy Perry sang it best last year, and Charlize Theron lived it this weekend.

Charlize Theron kissed a woman (shhhwing!) for charity, and how much was it for? 140,000!!! Now I would love to kiss Charlize Theron but not to the tune of 140,000. I would love to talk tot he woman who spent the cash, and see how that was in here life budget.

Well enough chit-chat about it here is the footage.

New Music Tuesday

by Jason Rossi 20. October 2009 11:32

Have you been listening to Radio 929 a lot lately? Well first off you show be. Second we have been bringing you a ton of new tracks from some bands you know and others you are getting to know. Here are three you should be listening to.

Shinedown - “If You Only Knew”

The tempo is the same as “Second Chance”, without some of the corny lines. This song is more of the last gasp to hold on to something/sopmeone “Breathe your breath in me The only thing that I still believe in is you, if you only knew “ Shinedown is creating a knack (My Sharona anyone?) for rock ballads such has these. Their latest album “Sound of Madness” is still kicking around in the top 40.

Owl City - “Fireflies”

Rock n' Rollers look elsewhere, but you tight jean wearing hipsters prepare for your new favorite song. Fireflies has a quirky way of getting stuck in your head. The over the top youthful lytrics “'Cause I'd get a thousand hugs from ten thousand lightning bugs as they tried to teach me how to dance. A fox trot above my head, a sock hopped beneath my bed, a disco ball is just hanging by a thread.” Good tune to listen to in with a chill in the air, and nothing to worry about. It just makes you feel free.. ok I'm starting to get a bit weird. Next song..

Third Eye Blind - “Bonfire”

I saved the best for last. Third Eye Blind has really made a strong return this year, & the evident is in their latest track “Bonfire” off URSA Major” which debuted at #2 on the charts. Bonifre is a feel good track with a great sing-a-long WooooooOOOOOOOOooooooooooOOOOOoooooo. The battle of changes, and how we have to deal with they is prevalent in this track. Also the whistle outro is classic, and gives the song an eerie sound.

99 Songs but Jay-Z Doesnt Know One

by Jason Rossi 13. October 2009 08:32

From Alternative Addiction “Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher is being courted by Jay-Z for a possible collaboration. The rapper recently told U.K. publication The Sun that he thought he and Gallagher could work well together.

"Their music is tight and I think we could blend our styles well," Jay-Z said. "When I teamed up with Linkin Park nobody expected that to work, but we made a massive success of it. The same could happen with Liam."

He added, "When you have two artists like us in a room just throwing about ideas, you come up with something brilliant fairly easily. I don't know what he is up to now but he can give me a call."</span>

The comments come in the wake of recent reports that Snoop Dogg is hoping to sign Gallagher's brother and former bandmate, Noel, to his Priority Records Label.

Noel left Oasis in late-August, saying he could no longer work with Liam. The brothers have had a famously contentious relationship, with fights between the two leading to canceled performances on multiple occasions, including a scrapped appearance at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris shortly before Noel left the band.

Liam has not yet commented on Jay-Z's remarks.”

I hope if they do work together Jay-Z learns some of Liam’s words first. Check out this butchering of Wonderwall by Jay-z

Pin Drop

by Jason Rossi 12. October 2009 12:50

How good did you feel with the Sox up 6-4 in the 9th with Pap coming on? I know I felt great, and then came the fall from grace. The Angels got clutch hit after hit, and before I could grasp for air the Sox season was over.  All of Boston was stunned I swear you could hear a pin drop in the city.  Then the conversation went to a more positive note, the Patriots were kicking off shortly, and now we will have to put our eggs in their basket. Then the unthinkable happened, the Pats blew a 4th quarter lead. Tom Brady looked like he had taken a step backwards in his progress, and again I heard the pin drop. On top of that my Sunday night TV watching of Family Guy, and Curb Your Enthusiasm weren’t funny I never laughed out loud, again the pin drop.

As a life long Boston sports fanatic I can’t remember a worse day of outcomes. To be a bite positive, at least both games went down to the very end (ok, that positivity didn’t work for me, you?).

Well to make us feel better here is a hot Sox fan

Rock Quote of the Day

Actually, we're a complete fraud. We
can't sing, play or write songs, we get
other people to do it for us. We also
pay radio stations lots
of money to tell kids to buy our
records and wear clothes like us.
-Eddie Vedder
